All Saints Day - Dia de Todos Los Santos - is a public holiday in Spain.

All across the country people visit cemeteries to remember loved ones.

These niches are very common in Spain. Typically people aren't buried but the coffin or ashes are instead interned in a niche.

Headstones are cleaned today and fresh flowers placed. It's a sociable tradition and in villages here you still see different generations of a family sharing the day.

Then it's a lunch at home with friends and family or in a local restaurant.
