Taking to the river

These goslings were being guided by parents one leading one at the rear along the Ruhr river.
Today is fathers day, also Bank Holiday. On a previous visit at same time we came across quite a few men pushing trolleys with their beer/radio/music meeting up with others along river path, also a boat had been hired with large group of merry men - it all looked jolly. Today we were a little disappointed, no boat, no trolleys or music, just plenty of bicycles.

No cake today, instead I enjoyed a cherry waffle with cream and ice-cream, yummy.
