Pukeko
A greyish day but the plasterers arrived shortly after 8am and it was just the right sort of day for me to wash outside windows and spray concrete paths and decks against increasing shades of green that come with cooler autumn days. That dealt with the morning and this afternoon I made a cushion for Hermione Cottage with some linen featuring the pukeko which is a bird commonly seen in New Zealand, particularly near fresh water ways and they are amongst the many species of water fowl at Lake
Tarawera.
