Mystic

The train from Boston to New Haven ran without a hitch so we are back with Becks and Rob for our last day before we head home tomorrow. The rail track hugged the coastline in several places on the two and a half hour trip but there wasn't much sign of Hurricane Sandy beyond a marooned boat, fallen trees and a beach being reformatted. My blip is taken out of the train window as we crossed the river at Mystic.

It was great to spend a few days in Boston with brother Rog, sister-in-law Anne and our nieces Laura and Amy, and the hurricane gave us an extra day with them which was a bonus.

We're packed and just waiting for Becks to get back from work then we'll go see what the Soup Girl has to offer for lunch. I'm relieved that we are booked on the airport shuttle from here tomorrow (good job Becks!) because it means we'll miss the transport issues still continuing in New York and be dropped right at JFK. Lovely holiday, especially fine to see the kids and their new home and Sandy added extra spice to the memories we will take home!
