Room on a palatial scale! (backblip)

Today we arrived at Claridges hotel in London Mayfair! This is the best shot I could get of our accommodation for tonight. It is huge! Even with my wide-angle lens I could only fit half of the room in the shot!

There is a corridor as you enter through the door ....... this is (half of) the bedroom/sittingroom. There is an en-suite bathroom in black marble. Also a separate dressing room complete with floor-to-ceiling mirrored wardrobes & a vanity unit.

The actual room has three floor-to-ceiling mirrored wardrobes, an armchair, bedside cabinets, a desk, drawer unit with large flat screen TV, settee, dressing table with chair & a superking sized bed! The floor space is about the same as our whole house put together!

We had Afternoon Tea in the hotel, then walked to Leicester square. Then had a chauffeur driven tour.

In the evening we went to Petrus restaurant .... this is Gordon Ramsay's place in Knightsbridge. The food & the staff were brilliant. We finally returned to the hotel at 11.30pm stuffed full & ready for a good night's sleep.

It was a fantastic day! Bring on tomorrow! :-)
