Travelling Home
After leaving my beloved Fuji at the camera shop we headed north and home. For a while the camera hasn't been turning off or it would just come to life when it is off. A trip to the camera doctor in Auckland is in order.
The forester had a very successful duck shooting weekend. He has never seen so many ducks. They kept coming in all day. He cooked duck breasts for us on Monday night. They were very good. My sister put a whole duck in the slow cooker and text to say it was delicious. These are South Canterbury ducks feeding on grain and grass and are very plump.
This is a snap from the vehicle somewhere past the turn off to Hanmer. Perhaps the Hope River. Now that the Kaikoura road is open there is very little traffic on this road through the Lewis Pass. A great drive.
