Voskresenije

The title of this post could have a double application: Voskresenije is the name of the choir from St Petersburg who have been visiting Dunoon for 10 years now, and it means "Resurrection" - and that is an idea that could be applied to Dunoon Burgh Hall, where last night's concert took place. The hall is very much a work in progress, and was chosen for the concert by the sponsors of the evening, Holy Trinity Church, as the church building too is now a work in progress. It is hoped that with the resurrection of the church building, we may be able once more to stage concerts there, but last evening the town-centre venue proved a popular one despite the sparseness of the decor.
