Awful day

What whimsy for today's blip?. As I racked my brain my concentration was disturbed by a plethora of sirens. Loads of them. What on earth was going on? I decided to investigate. At the end of our road (a junction I use a dozen times a day) I was greeted with carnage. Dozens of rescue vehicles, fire tenders, police cars, ambulances, cutting crews and paramedics. Even the air ambulance arrived.



Sadly at least two people have lost their lives here today. I am truly sorry for them. This is a dangerous pair of junctions and they generate many accidents – I blipped another fatal one back in 16th August 2015. It is about time West Lothian Council did something about it, lights or a round-a-bout. Plenty of room for them.



Any way, big thumbs up for the emergency services response, given their recent criticism. They did very very well. Such a shame people's lives ended here today. Makes you think.
