At The Top
Another glorious, no clouds in a brilliant blue sky, day. BB needed to sleep late, as he had gone to be feeling unwell last night. He did sleep late, and was absolutely fine this morning. I went out for a wee run – just over four miles – in the heat and the sunshine. Occasionally, there was a very welcome breeze.
We eventually got ourselves organised and headed into Edinburgh to do something else we have been talking about for ages – BB and I climbed Arthur’s Seat (something I haven’t done for years, and he has never been to the top). It was greyer and cooler in Edinburgh, which made for better hill climbing conditions. Once at the top - the views were fabulous. BB’s reward was to be pizza for lunch, and all he talked about the whole way up and the whole way down was about what kind of pizza he was going to have!
As we descended there were a few spots of rain, but we got to the pizza restaurant quickly. It was raining by the time we left it, and as we were not dressed for rain – we just headed for the train, picking up some cakes on the way.
BB came home and did some cello practice. He found some Harry Potter music on the internet and had a go, and it was pretty good – with a bit of practice he will get there. I did a quick supermarket shop, made BB a quick tea and then we were off to football. While he was training, I went for a walk. There was no more rain, which meant I ended up carrying my rain coat – in fact it was a lovely evening. Back to work and school tomorrow.
Here is BB at the top. The extra shows a neighbour’s beautiful deep pink cherry blossom, but more importantly the blue sky that we had this morning.
