Caustics

A regular nine to five day at the office of one of our clients. The fellow I'm supposed to be working with commutes from London to Oslo every week, but owing to a ticketing snafu he can't make it today. I sit alone, in an office full of people, and work undisturbed. It's a productive day.

When I arrive home, Liz offers stir-fry and noodles. When I suggest going out for a ride in the beautiful evening the offer is rapidly withdrawn.  I cycle for an hour or so. It's getting easier now, but the caustic saddle-soreness persists for the first five kilometres.

I return, reheat the stir-fry, and eat, while Liz heads out for her own ride through the glorious evening. After dinner, I catch up with Austin, follow-up some business development leads, and confirm that Austin has found and fixed the problem I ran into on Monday. I can sleep easy now. And I will.
