Irresistible

I had to stop and take a photo of this blasted pine tree. And then I fiddled with it in SilverFX when I got home. I'm a little confused about timings of the revived DerelictSunday challenge hosted by Marlieske, but hopefully this qualifies.

Today's Tuesday walk was brisk and breezy, with mixed sun and clouds. M cut a corner to shorten the walk when we saw a rainstorm approaching, but in fact it swerved off in another direction and we didn't catch a drop. It was a pleasant and not strenuous walk around the château of St Martin de Toques (see extra). The château is definitely not derelict, although it used to be; it was very extensively restored about a decade ago. We saw several more ruins of former rural farmsteads, but this was the most picturesque by far. Only 6.5 km, 155 m climbing, 2 1/2 hours.
