Went to Frizinghall on the train and up to Lister Park for the first time since I went off work. I'd put a huge barrier up over the last few months which I've gone part way to breaking down today. Deliberately went at a time when I knew no one should be wandering about and went up some backstreets (very nice ones!) to the park so I didn't actually walk past where I work. I'll make the journey again in a day or two and chip some more of the barrier away.

I felt really excited about seeing the park again but maybe today was a bad day to go. It was absolutely full of litter after the bank holiday weekend. I've never seen it looking scruffy like that. Some people are unbelievable. I was also heartbroken to see that they'd hacked all the hedge down where I used to sit and feed the birds. I only hope they did it before the wild birds had started nesting :-(

All-in-all, I'm glad I went as it feels like I've made a step forward but was mightily glad to get back to the park in Bingley, where there was no litter and all the hedges were intact :-)
