Fallow Deer

It was very hot so I decided that gardening was out of the question, but I did fill all the outside animal water bowls and topped up the bird feeders.
 
   I took some mediocre pictures during the day, but due to the heat there was not much wildlife in the garden. Until dusk when five Fallow deer arrived! We frequently had four dark ones visiting and then only three so we thought one had been killed, so I was delighted to see five tonight. This one was making use of the clean water in the birdbath. The bar across the picture is the top of the hammock swing, which gets in the way when taking pictures through that particular kitchen window.. The extra two pictures show the other four, taken while this one was drinking, plus another one of just two of them.

As they were taken at dusk the pictures have been lightened a little.
