Neighbours
Neighbors bring food with death and flowers with sickness and little things in between.
A strange bank holiday. It starts with a trip to Penicuik, carrying tyres. Claire is waiting there with her car - still sporting winter tyres that need removed.
We head for home, take a wander, water plants, and the head back to Penicuik. I return with winter tyres, but no Claire.
Angus wakes. A chicken goes in the slow cooker. Water purification bulbs get renewed. Ferdi departs. Lunch comes and goes. Angus get dropped in Peebles. Sales calls across the Atlantic.
Nick, Helen, and Robbie come to share a late meal of slow cooked, home reared chicken. Then there are poached pears with cream. The night ends a bit late for a school day - as do so many.
