What a view

After three weeks in Sydney it was time to head home.  The flight from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur is just over eight hours, however we then had 10 hours to wait, so we had booked a room in the airport hotel.  The view from our window was of the airport apron.  Hubby is a plane spotter so was in heaven.  The room was bigger than I was expecting and the bed very comfy.   We wandered down to the duty free area and purchased perfume and aftershave, unfortunately they could not be opened.  Still it was good to be able to shower and change before having dinner.  The final leg of our journey took about three hours.  Our seats were right at the front and we ended up talking to the head stewardess for most of the flight.  Her instructions about switching off all phones and electronic devises was made in a friendly and amusing way.  As was her reminder to take all your belongings off the aircraft when you leave.  We told about hubby once having to reenter an aircraft when he realised that he had left his reading glasses in the seat pocket.  She said she would add glasses to her list.
We spent Sunday catching up on sleep and laundry.
