Soaking up the Sun

With Friday being a half day of School for Sugar, and I had been feeling itchy all week (not literally itchy....just itchy to have some time off), I picked her up from school and took the afternoon as a vacation day.  We went out towards the ocean, and wandered some trails we hadn't been on before.  It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed our time together so much.  It felt so good to be outdoors, yet relaxing.  There was no hurry.  It was the perfect way to start our weekend.  

There was a surprise for me when we arrived home.  The Hubby had decided to gift me with a new lens.  I am drooling, and can't wait to start making friends with it.  It is a 100-400mm L series lense.  YEEEE HAW!!!!!  I'm a lucky lady.
