A Pie With a View
Impressively we managed to be out the house for 8.25 this morning. I'd promised C a 'proper' walk, but with a forecast of another hot & sunny day we wanted to be done by lunch. We headed up to Coniston to do the walk I'd done when I was up in the Dales with WI a few weeks ago. It seemed to fit C's criteria, quiet, sheep, rocks to climb, moorland, no roads, no cars. We got to Coniston Pie, near the end of the walk, for midday, and ready for lunch in the sunshine. There was still room for cake/ice cream at Kilnsey before heading home for the kids to cool off in the paddling pool.
