The Kite Runner

Sat in the sunshine at Bradley Gardens Walled Garden all afternoon (it was a scorcher!). Then went to see The Kite Runner at the Theatre Royal in the evening! It was the last night that this West End production was showing in Newcastle. What a powerful and moving story /production! I shed tears throughout but thoroughly enjoyed it and could easily sit through it all over again! My daughter says that it was very true to the original book... I need to read it now!
Favourite quote: "Children aren't colouring books. You don't get to fill them with your favourite colours".

Should explain that I took this photo just before closing time...every table had been filled before this with happy people enjoying the remarkable weather!
