Celebrity Eclipse
A lovely bright and sunny morning. It started to cloud over after lunch, and then rain came in by 4pm. Rained most of the evening, dried up now at night, with a breeze picking up.
It's been a really busy day on the museum desk. Today's visitors were mostly American. A fine walk about town at lunchtime. A mad dash after tea, and headed down for my shift in the pub. We also had a squad meeting tonight. Sad news came in, my uncle Magnie passed away last night. He'll be a miss. Feet up for the night, but first walkies with Sammy.
Today's cruise ship hit it lucky with the fine morning. This is the largest ship to arrive this year, with 2,850 passengers. There are bigger ones to come later, and sometime in July we have one with over 4,000, along with another two, and over 9,000 passengers in one day. They didn't spend too much in the museum, but hopefully the local shops have had a good boost. The Celebrity Eclipse in the harbour, taken from Pirate Lane, Lerwick.
