Great prominent
I was very pleased to see this beautiful Great prominent Peridea anceps in my trap this morning, as it is a moth I have never caught before.
It is really quite big (wingspan 50-65mm) and flies mainly in the south of the UK. It likes Oak woodland and flies in one generation from April to June, a real beauty I am sure you will agree.
I have added a shot of a very attractive Owl midge (type of fly) in my extras - also from the trap, which although tiny was just to attractive not to blip
