Street Workout

Not a bad backdrop for a street workout! Brilliant to stand and watch the hundreds of people dancing around central Rome in unison, watched over by the statues of past emperors.

I am here with my mum, she is loving it, even though the first part of the journey ended up with her getting off the train at the wrong stop twice, and me nearly giving up at the thought of having to get her on a plane. Still, we arrived in one piece, and at the correct airport, French air traffic controllers notwithstanding. Before we fly home the Italian air traffic controllers are on strike too - let’s hope it’s all settled by Friday!!!

Many amusing moments, most revolving around the efforts to try and obtain a cuppa that is acceptable to my mum. Strangely enough lemon tea served with warm milk didn’t hit the spot.....
