"The Destructor"
I drove down to Chorley after work and had a swim before leaving the Minx to finish some drawing and walking into town to meet Dom for dinner at La Estrella.
It was a beautiful evening for a walk and I stopped just before the restaurant to take this shot of "Morrissons' chimney". In fact, a hundred years ago it was the chimney for the local waste management facility, which burned household waste and provided power, known, somewhat melodramatically, as "The Destructor".
I was a few minutes early arriving at the restaurant but Dom was - characteristically - already there and - also characteristically - on great form. The restaurant itself wasn't particularly busy but there must have been new staff somewhere in the mix as everything was running slowly. Which was fine by us; we were in no hurry at all.
