Beautiful Spring Day

I grabbed a shot of my neighbor’s Rhodadendron this afternoon just before my guests arrived. I spent the day shopping, cleaning the house, preparing my garden for dinner al fresco, and looking forward to an evening with friends and family.

Dave and Nora picked up Shelly on the way. Steve and Trish arrived ahead of them. The six of us had a lovely dinner together out in my small back garden. The weather was perfect. The company was delightful. And we had much fun eating, talking and laughing.

Shelly headed back home with Dave and Nora as everybody left. What seemed a mound of dishes turned out to be easily managed. I watched Call the Midwife and an episode of Heartland and now I’m off to bed. Happy day.
