Brooding
There was a heavy overcast sky today, but for a few minutes a little sunshine touched the mountain peaks. This brooding cloud over the mountains does not threaten rain. It often accompanies a gusty nor’wester.
Since I knew the whereabouts of my two mantis guests in the greenhouse I thought it safe to finish removing the rest of the tomato plants. There were four large unruly bush tomatoes, taller than me. Then I dismantled the bamboo structures I built to support all the tomatoes. Now there is room for the containers of plants that I’ll move in there when the weather gets frosty. I have made room for a chair, which I hope to make use of when in the greenhouse is the only warm place.
