Ah so, glasshopper

A sunny hot day and we spent a lot of it by the pool. Not quite warm enough for more than dangling legs in, but that was a great benefit given the heat of the day. Oh, tough times.

Walking through the magnificent perennial planting in the garden I disturbed a hundred grasshoppers of various colours and size. This is one, and I’m always slightly peeved to discover how well the iPhone manages... why have I got this huge dSLR anyway?!

The day moved toward close with a 10k cycle ride to La Redorte for a couple of Pelforths and a wobbly ride back. Ah, I tell you, it’s a tough old life, this house sitting.
