Carpets of Crocuses

.... are everywhere the snow has just melted. It was hard not to step on any of them. This is just under Diablerets Mountain at the Col du Pillon, a totally unexpected present, just above the road!

Of course just after I had watered the vegetable plants which were almost dead with dehydration. I had not realised that as I had covered them with a protective fabric so could not see them. Sod's Law!
