Willow weave

Such a beautiful day, and this serene view over our vegetable plot shows a work in progress. The bulk of it is currently covered in membrane to keep weeds at bay, until there’s time to open up more of it as growing ground. Meanwhile the runner beans, curly kale, artichokes, onions and garlic are all progressing well, and the mange tout and sweet peas are going in tomorrow.

As for our huge willow, I’m going to cut some long strands to make a growing willow weave. Hopefully that will work well enough for a future blip ...
