Sunshine Break

Bank holiday weekend, brilliant sunshine and temperatures reaching into the 20s brought a spark of colour to Southampton’s Above Bar thoroughfare and the historic Bargate monument.

The change in fortunes for the weather was clearly welcome too. In shops and the nearby shopping mall complete strangers were communing on the glorious weather.

Maybe this encourages many to head for the waterfront or the beach yet even the city centre adopted a fresh dimension with a sparkle.
