new owners

We went to the auberge for lunch today. The new owners have been doing repair works for a few weeks and today was opening day. It has been totally freshened up inside and the food was very good. Obviously the two new proprietaires were a bit stressed, but they handled the first lunchtime brilliantly. They are really friendly too which helps!

In the afternoon we headed down to dad’s garden and filmed another movie with Gilles and his family! His girls loved it! It was great.

Pierre started a new job yesterday (it’s hard to keep up with all his job trials and tribulations!!) at a factory in St. Paul Trois Chateaux. It’s a 45-minute drive there and back every day. It’s only an interim position so we don’t know how long the contract will last but he’s liking it so far. It’s a shame he couldn’t come to the auberge with us today though!
