Clachnaharry
Day Three of my visit to Inverness and one where I feel as if I've walked for Britain (only the 27841 steps on my pedometer thingy today).
First up was a walk up Craig Phadraig to the site of a iron-age fort, then it was down to the Caledonian Canal and a walk up to its eastern start / end point at Clachnaharry (pictured). After a spot of lunch it was back along the Canal towa8rds Inverness, past the Muirtown Locks and Tomnahurich Swing Bridge (just in time to see it open to let a yacht through) and out at Whin Park (see Thursday's blip) before following the Great Glen Way back into the city centre.
Think I'll aim for a more restful day on Sunday!
