Transportation of St Piran

Patron saint of Cornwall to North Quay Falmouth,where it will be transported aboard the wooden boat La Nebuleuse and sail to Brittany.
Cornishman David Paton and Breton Stephane Rouget had been commissioned to create a sculpture for the Vallee de Saints,to bring together statues of 1,000 Breton saints.as part of the project's tenth anniversary by having sculptures from Ireland,Scotland,Wales and Cornwall create pieces which will be shipped across the Channel aboard the La Nebuleuse,an historic tuna fishing boat before being mounted on a Breton granite base at the park.the weather was perfect today which brought a lot of people to Falmouth to see the granite statue .
