Holehird Gardens, Windermere.

Holehird Gardens is run by gardeners who volunteer their time and expertise. They are under the umbrella of a horticultural society and produce a small seasonal magazine. I can never leave there without  buying a plant or two. This time it was Pussy Ears, soft and furry to the touch.A type of Kalencho.
Leonard Cheshire homes is situated next to these vast and picturesque grounds. Paul and me discovered them a few years ago, and go and visit them in all seasons. There are a few National collections growing there.
We enjoyed lunch in the outside terraced area of Hayes Garden Centre.
An all round fantastic day.
