Try Harder!

A long work day spent navigating Amazon Web Services trying to understand users, groups, roles and policies. I mostly get it, but it’s been a long week, and my tired mind cannot internalise roles.

I must try harder!

Freya celebrates her birthday party in the evening with eight girls from her class. Her party is about six weeks late as her birthday fell in the Easter holidays when her friends were away.  They decorate cookies, squeal at each other and nothing, and destroy a piñata. Liz copes admirably. I withdraw to my office to contemplate Amazon, and emerge only briefly to take photos.

I must try harder!

A package arrives, emblazoned with my initials in red. Mysteriously the routing label has a large, handwritten sticker.

"Try harder!"
