snaefell

the midnight ferry to the isle of man dropped us early morning in douglas. we drove up to snaefell and snuggled under the quilt till daylight - well it was -3deg. the ground was well and truly frozen and l took lots of icicle pictures during the day but this picture from the summit of the mountain showing the mountain railway and the steam train in the background set the scene best. by the end of the day we had covered 6 summits and walked along the ridge overlooking Ramsey - beautiful till l realised we had to walk back. a b and b in douglas proved warm and comfy - ready for tomorrow.
