Pamlico River

Today we visited two more North Carolina state parks, this time near the Outer Banks. The first, Goose Creek, features a boardwalk through beautiful wetlands and a beach, pictured here. The second, Jockeys Ridge, near Nags Head, contains the largest living sand dunes on the east coast of North America.

We had an excellent dinner at the Saltbox, close to Red Devil Hill, not too far from where the Wrights Brothers took flight. What an excellent restaurant. The extra is the Lemon Blueberry cake that Gina and I shared.
