House Sparrow

A  very lazy shot of a male house sparrow. They are getting rare in some parts, but I've a garden full of them here. Although it is a nice day, I'm  feeling too tired and lazy to go out. This is one of those open the back door and shoot shots.

Although I haven’t been out, it has, so far, been a very productive day. I have booked a 2-day trip to the Farne Islands at the end of June.  I've also spent time playing with some newly installed imaging software – FastStone. It really is very fast. I like Lightroom and will continue to use it, but it's too slow when it comes to importing RAW files. With the new software I can delete the files I don’t want, and then get the rest from the card very quickly.

I'm wondering what to pack and take with me to the Farne Islands, and I haven’t even been to Mull and the Treshnish Isles yet. I'm going there at the end of May. Now – where can I go in July? Today could possibly end up costing me a lot of money. I don’t have much money or income, but I intend to spend it well. No pockets in a shroud.

Going to do a bit of Gaeilge Irish Language learning in a bit, but I suppose I had better put the washing out first. If you are wondering why I am learning Gaeilge, it's so that I have a good excuse for going to Ireland in August. :-)
