Church, charity and choirs

This plaque is on my office door. Very fitting as I grew up in a house on the same road as Eastwood parish church and across from the minister and his family. My mother has since moved house, as has the minister, and they still live a few doors away from each other.

It strikes me that now most churches are so struggling to make ends meet they probably couldn't afford to make donations in this way.

On a church related note, congratulations to Lorna Hood on her appointment as the next Moderator of the Church of Scotland. A very lovely lady and while I only know her in a social basis, she always seems to embody all the characteristics a minister should.
