Ellie

I woke up this morning with a screaming headache and a raging sore throat. I wasn't surprised because I felt the first signs coming on yesterday. I abandoned my plan to go to the office in Derby and worked at home instead.

I decided it wouldn't be sensible to venture out into the cold for a lunchtime walk, so in the hope of a blip I set the camera up on a tripod in the kitchen overlooking the bird feeders. Not a single bird showed all day.

My standard fallback position on such a day is a photo of one of the pets and Ellie happily obliged by posing for me in one of her favourite spots. She loves it here on the back of the armchair in front of the French window, where she can catch the warmth of any sunshine. There wasn't any sunshine at all today, but she was there all the same.
