We Built This City

... for the Marvel Universe? (sing it!)

Just over a year ago Hollywood descended on Edinburgh for the next Marvel Avengers movie spending 6-8 weeks in the city. We'd seen various sets around and were really looking forward to seeing it, which was tonight!

And it didn't disappoint... and not only that, unlike usual movies, the way they moved from Cockburn Street (with the deep fried kebab take-away), up to the Royal Mile looking all the way up the hill, to St Giles, to Edinburgh Council's buildings, over to the station and then out towards Princes Street Gardens to get on their space ship, then zoomed off away from the castle past The Balmoral... it all meant sense! No jumping around randomly! And boy did Edinburgh look good... for a whole 10 minutes!

It was quite weird watching the backgrounds rather than the actors... need to watch it again!
