Finding beauty

In Friendship. Can you have a friendship with an animal? It depends on your definition of friendship. If you consider a friend to be loyal, loving, gentle, trustworthy, and faithful, as I do, then yes indeed. I have had a hard time blipping this week because my sweet Isabell is having a hard time. She turned 13 last month and the days are now unkind. The vet is of the opinion she has cancer in last stages and I agree. She weakens daily and will eat only chicken ( ever the diva. :—) . I do have the proper perspective. She is a dog, a bloodhound and she has had a wonderful life. It’s just that it’s hard to watch her suffer after all the joy and laughter she has brought to us.
Even in this, she wags her tail and is so appreciative of the love we give her. So we will walk through these last days, hand to paw, heart to heart, with a smiling face and a wagging tail, grateful for this friendship. The extra is a photo of my sweet girl.
