I’m taking part in an online challenge on instagram - Day 3 has the challenge for the the era that inspires. I love the style of the 1950s. From studying old pattern books and magazines, I think I can even narrow it down to 1953, when it seemed was the transition from slim to full skirted. My favourite hats are those of Elsa Schiaparelli, in particular the floral ones. I’ve got quite a collection of pattern books and magazines acquired on-line, at flea markets and charity shops.
