Sunshine and dandelions
Finally the weather is improving, and it even looks like we are going to be getting a rare thing...wonderful weather for the bank holiday weekend! I was out and about today doing all sorts of errands and could not resist this sunny scene with the dandelions in the foreground.
Today Luke's girlfriend arrives to stay for the weekend - lots of excitement as we have not met her yet and we are looking forward to having a guest for the weekend. However tonight Gavin and I have tickets to the theatre so we will be getting home late and will only meet her then.
I went to Kingston again today and there was the most incredible busker, singing opera and some pieces made famous by Andrea Bocelli. He was so good I got tears in my eyes from the sheer beauty of his singing. I would like to have him standing in my kitchen singing to me all day while I am cooking.....It made me sad to read in the news how musicians today performing in top orchestras are not even paid a living wage. In my opinion I think musicians are so skilled and have such developed brains, making music that gives us such pleasure - it is shocking that society does not value their worth.
