Autumn Flowering Crocus
Before the threatened rain arrived I managed to get an hour in the garden to do some much needed tidying up. Hidden under some debris I was delighted to find that some Autumn flowering crocus were starting to open up. So nice to see a splash of colour although there are still some flowers which are unsure of the season and coming into bloom again.
It was too windy to picture them in situ so I brought this one indoors to photograph in the light tent. I believe the Latin name is Crocus Speciosus which sounds like something from Harry Potter.
One other job was to put a 'No Trick or Treat ' notice in the window. I think I'm turning into my Father!!
