The closure of Leith Street to allow the demolition and building works related to the replacement for t he St James Centre means the buses are rerouted and there is a spectacular view of The Hill and the back of the Canongate Kirk.

After a busy morning, with rain, wind and cold, I was on my way back from a more productive than expected meeting in Leith.

Out to sing this evening but a pile of work awaits me - either tonight or tomorrow morning.
