Bloodroot

This wildflower’s name comes from the fact that when picked, a red liquid flows from its stem. I have been fascinated by this flower since I was a child. I am finding now that it is spreading from garden space to garden Space in my back yard. Last year I researched it on Google and found that the seeds are spread by ants. How is that for a fascinating factoid?
