Tuakau bridge

Back blipped on 2nd May

Today we drove up from Taupo to Wellsford.  In my typical fashion, I preferred to take minor roads, and poor W drove many miles on narrow, winding roads, including 20+ kilometres on "unsealed" - ie grit, no tarmac -  roads.

We made a stop for morning tea at a lovely little cafe called Hummingbird, in Kihikihi (see extra).  It was delightfully whimsical, and the tea/coffee/scones/biscuits were also very nice.  But we didn't really stop anywhere else, apart from comfort breaks, one of which was on a little park beside this bridge.

Now settled in our final self catering apartment, and this has again turned out to be lovely, with great facilities, but rather iffi WiFi!
