Which pig will I eat...?

Mr D besieged by offers.
Every day, this largish, barn-like building houses 14 stalls, each with a whole roast pig. In the centre are tables and benches. For $3.00, you get a plate of pork (with crackling), salad, corn and sauce. As soon as you walk in, the ladies beckon enticingly, offering a free taste and a lot of charm.
By about 2.00 pm, there's pretty much none left. Every day.

In other news, we visited the museum of religious artefacts, which is housed in part of an old, but still functioning monastery. Wandering about, I came to an open gate that seemed to lead to a garden - a substantial garden, as it turned out, more of a small farm really. There were vegetables, fruit trees, a small cornfield, chooks, geese, a peacock with two hens and three cows, one very pregnant. I continued wandering about for ages before a couple of nuns appeared. Apparently I wasn't supposed to be there, but they were charming and good-humouredly offered to show me around. When we emerged through the gate again, there were Mr D and the museum ladies, all laughing and saying "oops".

(Also in the garden was a small but healthy looking patch of opium poppies. This might go some way towards explaining why the nuns got such a good laugh out of my error...)
