Long grass is hard work!
Ollie, favouring a side parting today! We had a nice walk this morning, although he does find uneven ground and rough terrain hard going. Lots of lying down and resting, which suits me fine too! We sat and listened to the birds. It's a lovely time of the year, lots of singing and calling to each other.
Went to help H in the afternoon and very excited to see that the pony she was interesting in buying, H now has on a fortnight's trial. She, Jasmine, not been ridden for the last six months, and has never been kept inside, so it is a bit stressful for her, but she seems to have coped well with the first 24 hours! She was in a field with just one of H's ponies, Beau, and was no problem to catch and bring in.
We rode inside and she went really well. She doesn't like being bridled, so rather than upset her, we rode her in a head collar and just took it slowly, although I let her have a little canter at the end, and she was perfectly behaved. She's lovely looking too, although quite thin at the moment. She would make a super addition to H's little herd so I do hope the trial works out! I think H is as smitten with her as I am, so fingers crossed!
