Mating stoats.

Never seen this before! Was about two miles up the glen and heard squealing. Couldn't work out what was happening in the long grass. Then the male , on top here, grasped the female by the neck and carried her across the field, up and over a fence, then released her and they played chasing and squeaking through the woodland. Amazing sight!
Several Wheatears up here too and waders.
Temperatures were about 10C but felt colder in the strong wind.
