Apple tree on the left

looking down onto a range of greens. Its looking good with a fresh green topping with the every faithful Acer in the distance.

On the right about mid picture is a glimpse of the loch, we’re not close enough for a ‘view’ also too many trees between us, planted I believe to shelter this little community from the wind.

I can’t say we thought about a view or shelter when looking to buy this place nearly 20 years ago, we just needed a home. Like many people who move here we arrived without a place to live or jobs. Where we live now was advertised and within weeks all was sorted, it needed a great deal of work which was ongoing and still is in some ways, certainly we have no regrets.

And employment wasn’t difficult, I doubt either of us or family and friends thought it would be that easy. And to be fair as a family we had a cottage in the village which was rented out, J and I lived in it for the first few months although the pressure was on and we had to be out by April in readiness for the holiday letting season. The cottage was sold some years ago, I seem to think we didn’t want to live in the centre of the village and more than happy on the outskirts.
